In 1993 there were over 500,000 patients receiving dialysis treatments worldwide. The latest data from the National Kidney Foundation reports that there are approximately 300,000 people in the United States who are being treated for End Stage Renal Disease with dialysis. A review of current industry literature suggests that most patients receiving dialysis treatments report that their quality of life is good. Recognizing this to be true we have consistently encouraged our patients to lead an active life style. In fact, a recent study conducted in our facility revealed 73% of our patients reported a good quality of life.
